Someone in your city needs a lawyer right now.
They pick up their phone, type in “personal injury lawyer near me” or “criminal defense lawyer” and your city name, and three law firms come back on the map before anything else loads.
They call one of those three.
If your firm isn’t there, you didn’t lose that case on skill or on price.
You lost it before the conversation started.
Most law firms we speak to are in one of three positions with local search, and none of them are good.
The first is a firm that has a Google Business Profile nobody has touched since the day it was claimed.
Wrong category, no service list, a handful of old reviews, an address that doesn’t match what the legal directories have on file.
Google reads all of that as a business it can’t confirm, so it ranks the firm down the list in the one place where potential clients are ready to call.
The second is a firm paying an SEO company every month that reports on rankings for terms nobody searches, while the local search results that actually produce cases sit with the same three competitors they sat with a year ago.
The third is the firm that gets found, gets the click, and then loses the person anyway, because the site is slow on a phone, the practice area page reads like a legal brief, or the contact form emails never even get delivered.
Now here is the trap you’re in when you go looking for help.
You call a big agency.
They put you in a room with a salesperson, show you a deck full of logos from firms with forty attorneys and eleven offices, and quote you a five figure retainer. Maybe more.
Then it’s still a gamble whether they deliver results or whether the work gets handed to a junior account manager who has eighteen other clients.
So you look at the other end of the market.
There is no shortage of people who will take $800 a month and send you a PDF.
They’ll build some directory listings, spin out a few blog posts about “what to do after a car accident,” and eleven months later you’ll be exactly where you started, except poorer and a year behind.
One is priced for firms that are not you.
The other is priced for busy-work that doesn’t achieve anything.
A firm with one to ten attorneys doesn’t need an agency built to service a national brand.
It needs someone who will actually do the right work, in one market, on the terms that bring in signed cases, at a fee it can pay every month.
That is the entire reason Dominate Marketing exists.
